They’ve come a long way since the slightly squashed milk chocolates of the 90s. But where did they come from?
A brief Advent history (because we love a backstory)
Advent itself dates back centuries – a time of poignant anticipation in preparation for Christmas that was originally observed in Western Christian churches. It’s true, you don’t need an Advent calendar to know Christmas is coming, but let’s be honest: opening a tiny door to reveal a surprise? That’s pretty cute and awesome.
