Happy New year, folks!
Happy New Year, folks! Yes, like you, we’re still unsure when the appropriate cut-off time for HNY salutations is. So, to be sure, we’re going to keep saying it indiscriminately for the entire month of Jan. Comprendez?
January, meh.
If you’re not an influencer, nepo baby, or persona non grata billionaire, then (unlike the aforementioned) you’ll probably be back to work during this miserable month. Rather than on a yacht or the slopes avoiding the inevitable cataclysmic car crash that is the start of the year. Yay. Congrats. We’re all in this together baby.
Be honest, we’re pretty cool, right?
At Pistachio, you know we like to keep it real with you. That’s why you won’t find any ‘new year, new me’ mumbo jumbo on these fine pages. No sir. Why? Because, like you, we’re already pretty great. And, we’re going to use 2025 to, yep you guessed it, get even better. So, in this blog, rather than setting outlandish or unattainable resolutions for clickbait, we’re going to walk you through some intentions you can set for the year ahead.
Goal setting, but make it fun
While some folks are busy signing up for the gym, cutting out carbs, and learning how to crochet, we’re focused on getting better at what we already do best — creating incredible work and helping our clients grow. So, if you’re thinking about how to kick-start your brand’s year (because why wouldn’t you be), here’s what we’ve got in store…
Getting your brand into shape (no treadmill required)
We all know the drill — New Year, new branding, right? Erm, yes maybe but don’t be trigger-happy and dive head-first into something you don’t want, like or need. Maybe it is time to refresh that tired old logo, give your messaging a little refresh, or get your voice back out there. But easy there, tiger – anything worth doing is worth doing well. If you’ve been rocking the same brand look for a while and you don’t feel like you’re making headway, it’s probably time to give it a gentle shake-up. Rather than making a rash resolution, you might not be able to achieve or stick to, take a breather, get your ducks in a row, and do things the right way.
Setting your intention: This year, how about we work together to make your brand stand out, not just fit in. (More on that here). Whether it’s a full-on rebrand or just fine-tuning your visuals, tone of voice, and messaging, we’re all about creating something that works exactly the way you need it to. After all, your brand is yours and no one else’s — so let’s get it right.
Make your Ideas move (literally)
Stop motion, 2D animation, 3D wizardry. Yep, if it’s making things move on screen, we’re your go-to guys. Utilising animation in your marketing assets can help increase audience engagement by up to 50%. So, if you’ve been thinking about bringing your brand’s story to life with a little extra pizzazz, now is definitely the time to pull the trigger. The world is changing fast, and there’s no better way to engage your audience than with some slick animation that’s as fun as it is informative.
Setting your intention: Don’t just opt for something that’s done and tired just because you’re stuck for inspiration. Whether it’s through quirky characters, kinetic typography, or jaw-dropping visual effects, animation is one of the best ways to make your brand feel fresh and alive – in a way that’s unique to you. Who doesn’t want more ass(ets)?
OK, OK, that was a CHEAP JOKE. Apologies. Now we have your attention, how about we pique your curiosity too? We’re not talking about financial assets here (although we’d never say no to a bonus, if you’re offering). But we are talking about the kinds of marketing assets that make your life easier: eBooks, infographics, digital ads, social media posts, and everything in between. It’s not just about making things look pretty (though we are very good at that) — it’s about making sure your marketing serves a purpose.
Setting your intention: This year, make sure every marketing asset you have is strategic. Whether you’re after a lead-generating eBook, an infographic that makes complex info digestible, or a set of social assets that drive engagement. The key is putting a toolkit together to serve your goals.
Make websites great again (LOL)
Let’s talk about websites. Is yours doing the heavy lifting it needs to? Is it driving conversions? Is it mobile-friendly? Does it reflect the awesome brand you’ve spent years building? Don’t worry if you’ve answered yes to any or all of these. It’s pretty common. The World Wide Web works fast, like really, really fast. And as a result, digital assets always struggle to keep pace. This isn’t the cardinal sin you might think it is, so don’t run screaming to your marketing team in despair just yet. But if you’ve been putting off a redesign, now might be the time to make it happen.
Setting your intention: The most important thing to remember when looking to re-design your website is that it’s got to work hard for you. We’re talking about UX design that makes browsing seamless, killer content that speaks to your audience and smart integrations that drive results. Your website is your virtual storefront, so let’s make sure it’s not a sad little shop with broken windows. We’ve been making websites great for two decades (yes really) so, if it’s experience, creativity and know-how you need, slide into our inbox and we’ll don our finest white knight armour, just for you.
Let’s get creative, shall we?
Now, we could go on and on, but you get the picture. Setting intentions for your brand in 2025 needn’t be overwhelming, but it should be well thought out. Hopefully, we’ve given you a good starter for ten to work with. But if you’re ready to take the next step and start making those intentions a reality, we’re all ears.
For the last time, probably, Happy New Year from the Pistachio team!
